Who's who in the zoo? We continue our Humans of Cairns Water Polo series with a feature on our newest referee and dedicated volunteer, Richard Hening.

Favorite musician and/or band: The Eagles
Most memorable sporting event: As a 10 year old I went some mates to see the All Blacks play France at Athletic Park, in those days we were able to sit on the sidelines.
Sporting background: I started swimming as an 8 year old, started playing water polo at 15 and played for 10 years. I represented our state side for 2 years, and our club side in for 4 years in the national club champs, winning a title. I have also refereed and coached. I saw an article about Cairns Water Polo and thought it would be good to get back into the sport as a volunteer.
Ideal weekend: An ideal weekend is heading away with the family and the three grandchildren.
